About
Benedetta Berti is a research associate at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) at Tel Aviv University (TAU) and a lecturer at TAU. She specializes in terrorism and political violence in the Middle East, radical Islamic organizations, and Palestinian and Lebanese politics.
She holds a PhD and an MA in international relations and security studies from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, and a B.A in Middle Eastern studies from Bologna University. Before joining INSS, Dr. Berti worked in NGOs and research institutes in Latin America, the Middle East, and the US, focusing on non-conventional terrorism and political violence in the Middle East.
She was a lecturer and researcher at Tufts and Harvard Universities, a legislative and policy assistant at the Office of Congressman Schiff on Capitol Hill, and a fellow at the Reut Institute.
